OAKLAND, CA - Millions of KerFuffle customers woke up this morning to find two strange emails in their inboxes. KerFuffle CEO, Linda Rosenbaum, had seemingly emailed every customer her Spotify Most Played playlist, with the only “text” being the 💃 🍷 🥳 emojis.
This email was followed up minutes later with a second email from Rosenbaum which read “omg so embarrassed...meant to send that to someone else. Total accident!” leaving KerFuffle users even more confused.
Who had Rosenbaum meant to sent her Spotify playlist to? How had she mass emailed all her customers by accident? Was it possible she’d wanted them to see her playlist?
Rosenbaum’s top 10 most played songs were also confusing, since the playlist consisted almost entirely of songs from Taylor Swift’s 2008 album “Fearless,” with just one other song included from the Backstreet Boys.
Many questions still remain. What impact, if any, will this have on KerFuffle’s valuation? Why would someone still be listening to Taylor Swift’s 2008 album? Or just listening to any Taylor Swift at all? It remains unclear if we’ll ever have all our questions answered, but one thing we know for certain: I Want It That Way is now and will always be one of the greatest songs ever recorded.
